Welcome to Orsa Rovdjurspark - open all days, year round!

Orsa Rovdjurspark is located in Orsa Grönklitt and with its 325,000 square meters its Europe's largest predator park. It's really no ordinary zoo, here the animals live in large numbers with natural forest environments. The park has chosen a target with large predators from the northern hemisphere, and several of them are endangered. Our animals are good ambassadors for their wild artefacts.

Polarbear

The polar bear is a carnivorous bear whose native range lies largely within the Arctic Circle, encompassing the Arctic Ocean, its surrounding seas and surrounding land masses. It is a large bear, approximately the same size as the omnivorous Kodiak bear.

Kodiak bear

The Kodiak bear, also known as the Kodiak brown bear, inhabits the islands of the Kodiak Archipelago in southwest Alaska. Its Alutiiq name is taquka-aq. It is the largest recognized subspecies of brown bear, and one of the two largest bears alive today, the other being the polar bear.

Amur / Siberian Tiger

Amur tigers belongs to the family of cats. They have brighter orange fur than the other tiger species.  They can weigh up to 300 kg and reach 105 cm. The Siberian tiger is carnivore and eats mainly deer and wild boar.

Persian leopard

Persian leopard belongs to the family of cats and is one of the largest of the subspecies. In the wild, they live in mountainous/rocky terrain sprained in small populations in the Caucasus, Armenia, Pakistan and Afghanistan, the majority in Iran.

Snow leopard

Snow leopard belongs to the family of cats. They live on mountains and in low-lying coniferous forests in the Altaibergen, Hindukush and Himalayan mountains. They are at altitudes from 1500 meters, but can be up to 6000 meters in the summer.

Brown bear

The brown bear belongs to the family bear animals. In Sweden, brown bear lives in forest landscapes in the middle and northern parts of the country. The brown bear has a large and massive body where the stomach is high and gives a sloping backline.

Lynx

Lynxes belong to the family of cats. In the wild lynxes only eat meat from the prey that they have killed themselves. They feed mainly on deer and reindeer, but also hares and birds stand on the menu.

Wolf

The wolf belongs to the family dog ​​animal. In Sweden, they live in forest landscapes in the middle of the country. The wolf is high-heeled with straight backline, strong head and big paws. The color of the coat varies greatly, the most common gray or yellowish colors with darker stools on the back and lighter belly.

Wolverine

The wolverine is the largest land-dwelling species of the family Mustelidae. It is a stocky and muscular carnivore, more closely resembling a small bear than other mustelids. The wolverine, a solitary animal, has a reputation for ferocity and strength out of proportion to its size, with the documented ability to kill prey many times larger than itself.

Eurasian Eagle-owl

The Eurasian Eagle-owl is the largest owl in the family of owls. They live in rocky landscapes but also forest landscapes. The Eurasian Eagle-owl has a body length of up to 70 cm and wingspan up to 170 cm. The male can weigh up to 2 kg while the female can weigh up to 3 kg.
