Exclusive Reasercher led Bear Excursion at Orsa Finnmark/Kvarnberg

Join an excursion in the wilderness and study the habits of the bears at close range together with bear scientists. During 6 hours we join the scientists in the wild of Orsa Finnmark. We visit a bear den, learn about the fascinating life cycle of the bear, look for tracks and trace of bear and torn ant-hills and we will also track bear with advance technology. You will visit an exhibition about the Scandinavian Bear Project showing its work and scientific results. During the excursion, you will be served food from the wild by beautiful scenery while the scientist tell you exciting bear stories and answers your questions. The excursion is certified by Nature’s Best.

Experience the Bear Park sitting down in a trailer pulled by our ATV. Perfect for the family.
1/6-7/7 Monday-Saturday at 10.30-12 and at15-17.
8/7-31/7 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday at10.30-12 and at15-17.
1/8-30/8 Monday-Saturday at10.30-12 and at15-17. Other hours by appointment.

Small Bear Reasearch Excursion into the Wild. Child friendly! 2 hours.

1/6-30/9. Tuesday at 10-12 (German). Thursday at 10-12 (Swedish). Saturday at 10-12 (English).
Price: SEK 1.000/family (2 adults and children under 18 years). SEK 400/additional adult or child 18+. The Scandinavian Bear Project has the research station in Kvarnberg, approximately 45 km North of  Orsa. Transportation to the research station and during the excursion will take part in your own car (E45 road, gravel and forest trails). Dress appropriately accoriding to weather and outdoor adventure. All participants needs waterproof shooes/boots, even in sunny and warm weather.Maximum 15 and minimum 4 participants.

 

Tiger Information at Tiger Mountain Amphitheater

Feeding the Animals

Come see the feeding of the animals. Our care takers will answer all your questions about the animals and their work at the park. Daily, time posted at the entrance of the Bear Park and at Nalletorget.

 

Bear Fishing

We release fish in the ponds for the bears. Duration approximately 1 hour. You will watch how the bears playfully catch their fish. 28/6-9/8 Tuesdays at 13, the feeding begins
